We have defects. Some, we were born with in life. They trip up us and keep us enslaved, but the good news is we do not have to be enslaved to them at all. Though genetics may explain my inclinations, it does not justify or excuse my sin. Jesus say He is the truth. Jesus never said He came to point us to the truth; rather, Jesus said He is the only truth. Until we face and accept the truth, change is not possible. For real lasting change to take place, we must have both desire and discipline to deal with our defects. That is what we will deal with today.
