When we have needs it is best to take it to God in prayer. For 4 months Nehemiah has been pondering about how to respond to the bad news he received about the state of the Jews in Jerusalem as well as the city itself. He has worked pity and passion to now do something about it. He has immersed all of this in prayer for 4 months. All he needs is for God to open up a door for him to share this with the king, hoping the king will allow him to go to Jersusalem to rebuild the Jews faith in God and the wall around Jerusalem.
