On October 8, Southside is going to honor and recognize our senior adults in our worship service. The entire service will be different from our normal worship service. Why are we doing this? Because our senior adults give of their time, their tithes, and give up the traditions they grew up on in order to reach a younger generation. Therefore, we want to honor them and say, "Thank You," to them. Instead of our typical Praise and Contemporary Music, yes, we will be singing hymns in their honor. In addition to this, there will be a Senior Adult Choir to sing Amazing Grace and testimonies from several of our senior adults.
There will also be boxed lunch prepared for everyone to take one. We will ask that our senior adults go first to get theirs for those who want one. And then, the rest of us will proceed to get a boxed lunch if we want one. Pastor Kelly will suspend is Joseph sermon series this day and instead, center his sermon around the themes from the testimonies given. Thank you for your willingness to let us honor them and express our appreciation to them.
